To develop a viable hydrogen economy, we must cooperate now to make innovations ready for the market. Recently ISPT published the design and corresponding investment costs of a one-gigawatt green-hydrogen plant that can be operational in 2030. This design is an important step in the development of the hydrogen economy. Related to the publications of this report, we have received a lot of sharp questions and valuable remarks. We discussed these matters with you during a webinar on the 1 GW scale green hydrogen plant.
This webinar is be a valuable step in the plant’s actual development. Journalist and researcher Evert Nieuwenhuis took us along various topics:
- The design of the gigawatt hydrogen plant.
- The significance of the design for the transition of industry and the development of the hydrogen economy.
- A conversation with Nienke Homan (Green Hydrogen Organisation) and Anne Mieke van der Werf (InvestNL) about what the results mean for the financiability of the hydrogen economy.
- A conversation with Ulco Vermeulen (Gasunie), Marcel Galjee (HyCC) and Henri Bontenbal (CDA) about how we are actually going to build this factory.
The design of the 1 GW hydrogen plant received a lot of international publicity.
This design is a result of the project Hydrohub Gigawatt Scale Elektrolyser, which is part of our Hydrohub Innovation Program.
