Originally from Poland, Marta moved to the Netherlands at just 19 to start a new life on her own – an experience she calls a major turning point. “It was the moment when a lot of doors opened for me,” she says. “The fact that I am where I am is pretty awesome, and I achieved it myself.”
As Programme Officer at ISPT, Marta works within the Circular Plastics Initiative and Industrie 4.0. With a strong interest in sustainability, Marta is driven by a passion to bridge the gap between innovation and accessibility, making technologies more understandable and attainable. She hopes to expand her involvement into energy-related projects in the future.
Marta holds a Bachelor of Science in Spatial Planning and Design from Rijksuniversiteit Groningen. Her studies allowed her to specialise in water management, energy transition, mobility, and infrastructure – with a special focus on the energy transition. This led her to complete a six-month minor in the field, deepening her commitment to sustainable innovation.
In her role, Marta aims to bring a spatial design perspective to the table. Spatial design focuses on how environments are organised to meet social, economic, and environmental needs. By incorporating this lens, she hopes to contribute new insights that could drive meaningful improvements in ISPT’s projects. Marta believes in the power of shared knowledge and collaboration. “I love the diversity of backgrounds here at ISPT,” she says. “It creates the perfect environment to learn and grow together.”

Her ultimate dream? To start her own consultancy, helping households and industries access renewable energy with ease by building effective infrastructure and creating strong partnerships. Marta’s enthusiasm for impactful projects makes her a valuable asset to our team.
Fun fact: Marta used to be a professional tennis player, and she believes the discipline and resilience she learned on the court are qualities she brings to her work each day 🎾
