Intuition stimulates open innovation

Is it wise to start an initiative that emerges from a hunch? This was one of the questions for the research towards the mindset of the R&D professional in open innovation. Linn Kolbe (VU Amsterdam) started her research from the assumption that the complexity and unpredictability of technological innovation results in decisions that do not follow logically from analysis or facts. The study focussed on the profiles of managers of open innovation projects within technology intensive firms. Among them were a large number of ISPT project managers.
