On April 21st, Platform Verduurzaming Industrie organises this year’s first live inspiration tour to Limburg’s Chemelot and Beer brewer Gulpener. There, Chemiepark Chemelot initiated the transition to Europe’s most sustainable chemical and materials site. Beer brewer Gulpener also chose a green course and will soon be brewing completely fossil-free.
Chemiepark Chemelot set a drastic new course several years ago. The site’s ambition is to grow into the safest, most sustainable and most competitive chemical and materials site in Europe. Chemelot wants to lead in knowledge and innovation in order to accelerate the transition to a sustainable and circular economy. Circular raw materials and sustainable energy needs are central to this.
