ISPT Conference 2026

This years’ edition of the ISPT annual conference is a special one, due to the 20th anniversary of this network organization of the processing industry. Over the last two decades, 150 industry partners, technical universities, knowledge institutes and small and medium enterprises have joint our community. It is an anniversary in turbulent and volatile times due to several wars and the disruption it causes for the global oil, gas and chemicals supply chains.

On October 29, we gather again to discuss a strong and competitive industry at the ISPT conference. This year partnering up with North Sea Port. Together we discuss the big question and challenge in these geopolitical insecure and volatile times is: “How do we move forward with the required energy and circular materials transition of the industry in order to realize the strategic autonomy of Europe that will secure prosperity and wellbeing of 450 million people?”

There is only one way forward: connect, collaborate and innovate together.

Connect, collaborate and innovate: together

North Sea Port shares its views, experiences and lessons learned in this domain. How does it navigate a new world, as is written down in its strategic plan 2030? How does it – in practical terms - write Connection & Collaboration with a capital ‘C’? And how important is it to have a well-structured system for dialogue and stakeholder cooperation with neighboring communities and municipalities, with regional and (inter-)national authorities plus civil society?

ISPT shares its vision on its future role and added value based on 20 years of experience in leading and facilitating innovation and transitions in the process industry.  Europe stands at a tipping point. Geopolitical uncertainty, resource scarcity, high energy prices and climate targets are putting pressure on the process industry. Without accelerating industrial innovation, Europe will lose both its competitiveness and strategic autonomy.

In the Netherlands, ISPT has proven to be a key driver behind this acceleration. We are open to take our unique collaboration model for the process industry to the next level in NW-Europe. Who wants to join us?
