With nearly 20 years of experience in shaping European and international environmental policy, Venetia is dedicated to building science-based solutions for the planet and its people. She studied Physics at Imperial College London and began her career in Brussels, working for the European Parliament. Much of her career has been spent as a consultant on a wide range of environmental issues, helping companies define their corporate purpose. Before joining Borealis in 2022, Venetia led a value-chain association focused on advancing a circular economy for polyolefins.
Currently, Venetia focuses on aligning the European regulatory framework with the transition to a net-zero circular economy for plastics. She also represents Borealis in the Business Coalition for a Global Plastics Treaty, contributing to efforts toward a UN instrument to end plastic pollution and foster global circularity.
Inspired by the motto “Be the change you wish to see in the world,” Venetia strives to embody this philosophy in her work, though she admits it can be a challenge at times.
