Irdanto is a researcher at Ghent University specializing in the sustainability assessment and circular economy evaluation of natural resources, particularly plastic, under the supervision of Professors Steven De Meester, Kim Ragaert, and Jo Dewulf.
He has been involved in several research projects and collaborations, including the Joint Research Centre (JRC), European Commission, the CEFLEX consortium, the PlastiCity Project, and the PerfectSorting consortium.
Throughout his research, Irdanto utilizes various assessment tools such as material flow analysis, life cycle assessment, life cycle costing, techno-economic assessment, and cost-benefit analysis. As a young researcher, he is passionate about promoting a sustainable and circular economy in the plastic industry in Europe and beyond.
