Peter Melis (1987) is an entrepreneur, podcast maker, retreat organiser and, above all, the chairman of the day during events on sustainability, energy transition and circularity.
Chairing the day is right up Peter’s street, especially when the event fits in with his personal sustainable lifestyle. After all, Peter built his own Tiny House and his curiosity and interest mean he knows more about what is going on in this sector than anyone else.
Peter continues to develop in order to give the profession more and more depth: from an improvisational theatre course to a training in non-violent communication, from the silence of meditation to a workshop on voice use. The profession of daytime speaker is multifaceted and Peter demonstrates this like no other.
The transition to a sustainable world is not just about technological solutions: the inner change required is perhaps more important. In 2017, for this reason, Peter founded the company Back to the Wild with partner Thijs Visser, where they focus on organising retreats in raw nature, both at home and abroad. When not in nature, or on stage, Peter can be found in the studio where he records his podcast De Energie gasten, in which he interviews inspiring frontrunners in the energy transition.
