Traditional ceramic membranes are unsuited for organic solvent nanofiltration (OSN), therefore we developed ceramic-polymer hybrid membranes for OSN.

Alternating copolymers directly grafted to γ-alumina membranes

Motivation and Scope

Modification of ceramic membranes retains the advantages of ceramic membranes, chemical and temperature resistance, while adding surface polarity and pore size tunability.
